Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Collections:  Telephonic and electronic collections of all amounts due. KPI would be to log a minimum of 32 customer contacts daily.
  • Monthly Target Achievement:  Ensure that at least 100% average of the monthly targeted collections is achieved.
  • Query Resolution:  Investigating and logging all queries on outstanding accounts, following up and providing feedback to the customer once queries have been resolved.
  • Payment Processing:  Processing and allocation of all payments received as per the daily bank statement and deposit slips strictly in accordance with the remittance advice from the customer.
  • Relationship Building:  Conduct regular customer visits to build and maintain good customer relationships, and proactive prevention of issues developing.
  • Account Analysis:  Analysis of overdue amounts on accounts to highlight areas of improvement or problems to be attended to.
  • Reporting and Escalation:  Regular reporting and feedback regarding problem accounts. Escalation of problem accounts to the Credit Manager within prescribed time frames.
  • Administrative DutiesPreparation of journals with supporting documentation. Filing, record keeping and various other admin duties.


Requirements


  • 3 years’ credit control experience within a credit control environment.
  • NQF level 4 qualification (Grade 12 or similar).
  • Credit Management II, BCom in Finance, or similar tertiary qualification in Finance.
  • Valid unendorsed driver’s license.
  • Computer literacy with a high level of accuracy, especially in MS Office. MS Excel skills on an intermediate level is mandatory.
  • Multilingualism would be an advantage.
